Last Saturday, my husband dropped me off at the Urgent Care because I had a fever (and other things I will not mention) the night before. To make a long story short, I ended up being admitted due to a lung infection. I was stuck in room 3316 for four days. The nurses were horrible, except one whose name is Cristina. I'm not even gonna waste my time and write about my experience during this stay, because I don't want to be mad.
All I did in my room was watch the News, read my book (currently reading Model Home), Facebook and watch Modern Family from my iPad. To be honest, I was only on Facebook to view Danica's pictures because I missed her so much. Then the song Groovy Kind of Love came to mind. It starts like this, "When I'm feeling blue, all I have to do is take a look at you...."
Dear Danica, I dedicate this song to you. I love you always! Love, Mommy.
Anyway, here it is if you'd like to hear the song:

Sorry I've been MIA. I haven't been feeling well lately because my doctor is weaning me off the steroids (Prednisone), but just want to let you all know that I haven't forgotten about my blog and as soon as I feel well I shall be back! A big shout out to my mother-in-law, Gloria, for helping me take care of Danica. I'm so blessed to have her as a second mom. Speaking of which, Mother's Day is coming up and I want to make something special for my mom and Gloria. Please feel free to share some ideas...
Hope everyone is having a great week :)

Yay! My sister, Va, will buy two hair clips from me. Hooray for my first sale. She wants a pink one (which I've already made) and a white one (I still have to make). They are for her cute daughter, Julia, who is 3 years old. I'm sure she'll love them! Here it is on Danica (I clipped three flowers on her because I just love that clustered look). Looks like there's a beautiful, pink Peony on her head.
And don't you just love this pink ombre dress?

The other day, I ended up in the Urgent Care because I had a sore throat ... hey, wait a minute, that's a different story. So anyway, after visiting the doctor, Raul took me to TJ Maxx. I love that store! I'm a bargain hunter and I love finding designer items for less. My latest finds are a pair of mustard colored wedges by Aerosoles for $29.99, a floral dress for $19.99 and a pair of sunglasses for $9.99. The shoes are super comfortable and just the perfect color for Spring. It's so hard to find shoes that are stylish and at the same time comfortable. Now that I'm a mom, I have to be careful with what type of shoes I wear. I'm mostly wearing flats and flip-flops, because I'm afraid to walk in high heels while carrying my daughter. I'm afraid I might trip and hurt myself and the baby. To all the moms out there, what type of shoes are you wearing nowadays?

... is Danica! I love her so much. I am having such a great time teaching her songs and reading to her. I am so amazed at how much she has learned from me and Raul. If you ask her where her ears are, she'll point to them. She says, "woof woof," when she sees a dog. When she's watching "Yo Gabba Gabba," she sings along. She dances when she hears "Just Like a Rockstar" by Fresh Beat Band. She's like a sponge, just absorbing all these information and learning new things each day. At 14 months, she already is a social butterfly. She loves interacting with other kids and she's always waving hi to them. She is soooo funny and soooo fun! I love her dearly. I'm so happy to be alive and be her mommy.
Happy 14 months, Danica!

Seriously, I love making headbands and hair clips, it's so much fun! I love the color combinations and they really are one-of-a-kind pieces. Too much fun... I will post them on Etsy tomorrow. My model, also known as my daughter, was uncooperative today. She just wanted to watch her shows and play, so I will have to retake photos tomorrow. Here are some taken from earlier:
